We are happy to welcome you at Ivato International Airport upon your arrival. One of our team will welcome you and take you to your hotel to settle in.
Antananarivo
Today we will explore the capital city. We will visit the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover other cultural and historical sites of Antananarivo.
Antananarivo → Antsirabe
We travel south to Antsirabe, the "City of Water", a journey of about 3 to 4 hours by road through the beautiful central highlands. Upon arrival, we will visit the famous thermal baths and explore this charming colonial town known for its pousse-pousse (rickshaws) and gemstone workshops.
Antsirabe → Ranomafana
We depart for Ranomafana, a drive of about 6 to 7 hours through stunning landscapes of terraced rice paddies and small villages. Along the way, we will stop to admire the scenery and meet the local Betsileo people.
Ranomafana National Park
Today we will spend a full day exploring Ranomafana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage rainforest. This park is home to 12 species of lemurs, including the rare golden bamboo lemur. We will hike through the lush forest, spotting wildlife, enjoying birdwatching and discovering the incredible biodiversity of this pristine rainforest.
Ranomafana → Ambalavao
We continue our journey south towards Ambalavao. Upon arrival, we will visit the Anja Community Reserve, a community-managed forest at the foot of impressive granite cliffs. This reserve is home to a large population of ring-tailed lemurs and offers beautiful hiking trails with panoramic views.
Ambalavao → Isalo
Today we drive to Isalo National Park. The landscape transforms dramatically as we enter the rugged sandstone massif of Isalo. We will enjoy our first exploration of the park's canyons and natural pools.
Isalo National Park
A full day dedicated to exploring the wonders of Isalo National Park. We will hike to the famous Piscine Naturelle, a stunning emerald pool hidden in the rocks, and trek through the Canyon des Makis where ring-tailed lemurs and sifakas can be spotted.
Isalo → Tulear
We depart for Tulear (Toliara) through the arid south of Madagascar. The landscape changes once again as we enter the spiny forest region. Upon arrival, we can relax at the beautiful beach of Ifaty or visit the Reniala Private Reserve, home to centuries-old baobab trees.
Tulear
Today is a day to enjoy the coast. Optional activities include snorkeling or diving in the coral reefs of the Toliara region, which are among the most beautiful in Madagascar.
Tulear → Antananarivo
We fly back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you will have time for last-minute shopping at the craft markets or sightseeing in the capital.
Antananarivo → Departure
Depending on your flight schedule, we will transfer you to Ivato International Airport for your departure. We hope you take with you unforgettable memories of the south of Madagascar.
